Glasshouse Café
Cafe - Cook Full Time
The Glasshouse Café sits at the heart of California Home & Garden — Wellington's biggest and best garden centre, and we're looking for an experienced cook to join our cafe team. We're a family-owned business that takes enormous pride in the food we put in front of our customers, and we want someone who feels the same way.

Key responsibilities
Grill and short-order cooking across our full café menu
Preparation of cabinet and menu food to a consistently high standard
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised kitchen at all times
Compliance with all food safety and health & safety requirements
Working collaboratively with front of house during busy service periods
Assisting with dishwashing and general kitchen duties as required
What we're looking for
Previous experience in a commercial kitchen — grill experience essential
Current Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
Strong attention to detail and pride in food quality and presentation
The ability to stay calm and focused under pressure
A positive, team-first attitude and reliable work ethic
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively during peak periods
Available to work at least one weekend day — Saturday preferred
NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
