Light in weight not in results, Tui Superlight Potting Mix is formulated for convenience and superior performance. This new lightweight formulation is convenient to carry and use, and contains a six month controlled release fertiliser for sustained plant growth. The addition of SaturAid wetting agent to spread water evenly to the root zone and encourage rapid root development while preventing soil from becoming waterlogged.

Use this specially blended, free-draining mix to create optimum growing conditions for your indoor and outdoor potted plants.

Directions For Use: 

Directions for potting new plants

  • Water plants thoroughly before potting and allow to drain.
  • Partly fill your container with Tui Superlight Potting Mix.
  • Gently loosen the root ball and position the plant in the centre of the container.
  • Fill your container with Tui Superlight Potting Mix up to 3cm from the top.
  • Tap the container gently on the ground to settle the mix.
  • Press soil gently around the base of the plant.
  • Water your plant well.

Directions for re-potting plants

  • Your new container should be approximately 25mm wider than the root ball of the plant.
  • Water plants thoroughly before re-potting and allow to drain.
  • Partly fill your container with Tui Superlight Potting Mix.
  • Turn the plant out of its current container and loosen the root ball gently, removing any loose roots or plant material.
  • Position the plant in the centre of the new container.
  • Fill your container with Tui Superlight Potting Mix up to 3cm from the top.
  • The soil should be at the same level on the plant as it was in the previous container.
  • Press soil gently around the base of the plant.
  • Water your plant well.
  • Keep moist until the plant is established.

Tui Tip:

Plants in pots and containers outdoors may require more regular watering than garden beds. Water in the morning or evening, and avoid watering in the heat of the day.
